Picked up a few hundred shares of this satellite imagery company about a month ago at $17.80. It's up to around $21, but is still a buy in my book. They are a pretty small company, but have contracts with a governmental agency and google for their satellite mapping.
The reason this is a buy is because they are about to launch a new satellite on August 22nd, which if successful will be the most powerful camera up there. It will take a month or two after the launch for it to "dry out" and be tested, then it'll be ready for action. If all goes well, I see this stock hitting $35 by year end. Just a note, at the current float the physical satellite itself is worth $25/share.
It's overweight at a few banks, JPMorgan being one of them. There's a few good articles on it, and you can listen to a 30 min interview with their CEO here. http://seekingalpha.com/article/87025-geoeye-interview-with-the-ceo-and-cfo
I don't post often, but when I do it's when I have skin in the game and think it's worth sharing. As always, educate yourself before you spend your own money. Here's hoping we can make a few bucks :toast:
